The only reason people hate MCR is because the entire rock genre is an easy target because it's so different. People and society are scared of what they don't understand. MCR saved my life, and continue to every day. People need to stop just looking at what's on the surface because there's always so much more. I'm 15 year old who's still here because I found a band that saved me, and what can only be called a life-changing experience with music and not the God who was supposed to help me when I called. I gave up on God when he couldn't save me but four guys from New Jersey could.
the thing is for me that my dad passed away 2 years ago and it was then i started to listen to green day. the year after my dad died i didn't want to do anything. when my friends where outside i was inside wathing tv, drawing and listen to music. i think that my ridingteacher also saw that something was wrong so she gave me 2 extra lessons on my favorite horse called Melde. my friends didn't think it was fun being with me anymore. almost three years has gone now. for about 9-10 months ago a girl in my school sent me a link to "mama" and i liked it so i searched for my chemical romance and i love them! now i got two albums with them, the black parade and danger days. now i'm happier, more outside with my friends and i think that they like me even more now and i think that the electronic at home turned against me cuz i lost my ipod and the tv is broken so even if you're superdepressed, don't take anyone others shit! do wathever you want to do just so you can get happier! sure, if you want to paint your face blue before you go to school, do that! if you want to be happier, be happier! and if that don't help, star to listen to my chemical romance!!
Or how about you dislike them because you just don't like their music, hrm? Either way, glad someone helped you when 'God' couldn't. Least it clears up the stupid misconception that MCR makes people commit suicide - o - Music doesn't encourage that.
When I was your age, MCR really helped me too. They're music seems to really speak to people which is something very special. People will always criticize music tastes, it doesn't matter if you like rock, pop, country, etc. Unfortunately, it people don't seem to realize that music is a very personal thing and what sounds good to one person might not to another. I think it's wonderful that you've found a connection with a band like MCR. The members have always seemed like such nice, real people who care about their fans. No matter what people say about them, they've helped a lot of teens through tough times, not many bands (at least fairly resent bands) can say they've done that.
I know how you feel, that whole thing's completely true, and everyone knows it (some won't admit it though) But, MCR is steadily more popular, thanks to Glee and their horrible ruining of SING. More and more people are discovering this completely amazing, life saving, life changing band. Thank you Gerard, Frankie, Ray, Ray's fro, Mikey, for all of your hard work and for sharing your amazing talent with the world.
it's so easy to see why you wouldn't understand this. please don't comment things like this. you wouldn't get how much those of us who agreed have been helped by them. So please just move along and stop being rude.
Just because someone hates MCR doesn't mean they hate rock as a genre. Most people take issue with MCR as an individual music group rather than as a part of a larger music style. And where music styles are concerned, I typically find many more people who are outspoken about rap and/or country. Glad the music makes you happy, but your argument is flawed and ill-spoken.
