The only reason people hate MCR is because the entire rock genre is an easy target because it's so different. People and society are scared of what they don't understand. MCR saved my life, and continue to every day. People need to stop just looking at what's on the surface because there's always so much more. I'm 15 year old who's still here because I found a band that saved me, and what can only be called a life-changing experience with music and not the God who was supposed to help me when I called. I gave up on God when he couldn't save me but four guys from New Jersey could.

My Chemical Romance
The question I get asked the most is "Why do you like My Chemical Romance so much?", and, although the answer is simple, I can't seem to explain it. There's so many reasons that I love MCR, and it's hard to just think of one. The majority of the fans would say thinks like "Oh Em Gee! Jerry is the hottest!"
Those are the fans that don't find meaning in the music. I'm a completely different fan.
I am the fan that has seen them live 7 times and sings every word to every song. I've met Gerard and Mikey's mother. I have all the CDs and DVDs and the majority of my wardrobe consists of MCR shirts and jackets. I don't bootleg their music off of

This is so true in respect to how people view the band. My sister said I was turning Emo when I showed her one of their songs and I- okay 1. Emo is no insult 2. They actually prefer not to be labeled as Emo and 3. Sure their videos seem a bit much to you and some lyrics are violent or yell but would I rather be listening to music about nonsense and with little truth to it, watch music videos with girls in short skirts talking about some fake love? MCR is so much more real in their purpose I mean, they've said before their reason is to save lives and their songs are much more connected to ideas and metaphors for life. Their music is unlike anything else, they truly believe what they sing and do it with a desire to help. Thanks for the rant
